SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (January 24, 2023) – Springfield College is set to host the 2023 USA Gymnastics Men’s Collegiate National Championships March 24-25 at Blake Arena in Springfield, Mass.

The annual national championship competition features Division I, II and III four-year institutions that support gymnastics as a varsity sport, offering two or fewer full scholarships annually. Both days of competition will kick off at 1 p.m. ET with the team and all-around champions crowned Friday and event finals to follow Saturday.

"USA Gymnastics is excited to be heading to Springfield College for the 2023 Men’s Collegiate Championships," said Jason Woodnick, USA Gymnastics’ Vice President for Men’s Gymnastics. "There are few schools with a history that compares to Springfield College, as their men’s gymnastics program has been around for over 100 years. We know they will put on a tremendous event that will showcase some of the best college gymnastics in the U.S."

In 2022, the Navy Midshipmen claimed their second-straight team title, while Air Force standout and U.S. Men’s Senior Development Team member Garrett Braunton (Olympia, Wash.) topped the all-around field. Springfield and William & Mary also fielded teams in 2022, and the U.S. Military Academy at West Point has participated previously. This year will mark the first year of eligibility for Greenville University and Simpson College whose programs are each in their inaugural seasons.

"We are truly grateful for the support that USA Gymnastics provides for our sport at the NCAA collegiate level," said Springfield head coach Matt Davis. "It is a great opportunity for our student-athletes to be a part of such an incredible championship event, and we look forward to continuing this great tradition at Springfield College this coming season."

The USA Gymnastics Boy’s Region 6 Championships will be held at Blake Arena in conjunction with the event.
