GAINESVILLE, Fla. – There were plenty of storylines around Friday’s gymnastics dual featuring No. 2 Florida versus No. 5 Auburn. All played a part in Florida’s 197.825 – 197.20 win in front of 9,676 – the third largest crowd since the Exactech Arena at the Stephen C. O’Connell Center reopened in 2017 after a renovation.

WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah – The No. 3 California women’s gymnastics team improved to 6-0 Saturday night taking first place at the Wasatch Classic with the ninth-highest score in program history.

#4 Michigan 198.125, #9 Denver 197.200, Fisk 184.800 – Jan. 13, 2023
ANN ARBOR, Mich. — The No. 4-ranked University of Michigan women’s gymnastics team was the first in the nation this season to post a score of 198.000 or higher as it scored a 198.125 to earn a victory over No. 9 Denver (197.200) and Fisk (184.800) in a tri-meet Friday night (Jan. 13) at Crisler Center.

WEST VALLEY CITY – The sixth-ranked Utah Gymnastics team once again defended its title at the Rio Tinto Best of Utah, downing in-state opponents Southern Utah, Utah State, and BYU with a score of 197.750 at the Maverik Center.

WEST VALLEY CITY – No. 6 UCLA scored 49.500 or higher on its first three events en route to a first-place 197.850 score in Session 1 of the Wasatch Classic. The Bruins’ score was their highest road score since 2019.

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Arkansas kicked off its home slate on Friday night and despite a big push in the final two rotations, the Hogs fell to the Crimson Tide, 195.525-196.525.

#12 Kentucky 197.175, #10t LSU 196.575 – Jan. 13, 2023
LEXINGTON, Ky. – No. 12 Kentucky gymnastics rocked Rupp Arena in front of 10,558 members of Big Blue Nation on Friday night to open its home and Southeastern Conference schedule against T-10 LSU. The Cats came out on top stunning the Tigers with a 197.175 – 196.575 final meet score.

RALEIGH – The NC State gymnastics team opened its 2023 home slate of meets with a score of 196.375, the highest mark for a home opener in program history.

COLUMBIA, Mo. – The University of Missouri gymnastics team kicked off its SEC play with a dual against Georgia on Friday, with the Tigers earning their first home victory of the season.

Arizona 195.875, #15 Illinois 195.725, Texas Woman’s 193.750, Bowling Green 192.050 – Jan. 14, 2023
TUCSON, Ariz. – Arizona scored a 195.875 to win their home opener and upset No. 15 Illinois, Texas Woman’s, and Bowling Green. The Fighting Illini took home second place a 195.725. Texas Woman’s placed third with a 193.750 and Bowling Green earned a 192.050 to place fourth.

STANFORD, Calif. – The Cardinal earned a come-from-behind victory in its home opener Saturday, besting the San Jose State Spartans 196.100 to 195.850 inside Maples Pavilion.

CHICAGO, Ill. – The Illinois men’s gymnastics team took home the first place trophy at the Windy City Invitational for the first time in four years after record breaking performances. This is the first victory of newly appointed head coach Daniel Ribeiro’s tenure.

Stanford 410.500, California 394.950 – Jan. 14, 2023
BERKELEY – In 2022, California men’s gymnastics started off the season with a score of 382.100. In 2023? Try 394.950 – their second-best season opener in the modern scoring era. The Bears welcomed reigning national champion Stanford (410.500) to Haas Pavilion on Saturday night for the collegiate portion of the annual Cal Benefit Cup, with all competitors in high spirits and eager to debut their new routines.

Houston National Invitational – Jan. 14, 2023
HOUSTON – Oklahoma claimed the top four spots in the all-around and took home the team cup at the Houston National Invitational at George R. Brown Convention Center Friday night.

William & Mary 360.750, Simpson 318.250 – Jan. 14, 2023
WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – The William & Mary men’s gymnastics team opened its season with a victory against Simpson College, 360.75-318.25, in a virtual meet on Sunday afternoon.
