CHIASSO, Switzerland (November 23) – Yul Moldauer claimed the silver medal at the 2022 Memorial Arthur Gander Wednesday in Chiasso, Switzerland. Moldauer’s four-apparatus 56.100 was just nosed by World all-around bronze medalist Illia Kovtun, who captured the title with a 56.150. Italy’s Lorenzo Minh Casali (55.900) rounded out the top three.

Throughout the competition, which featured multiple World medalists and Olympians, the lowest-scoring gymnasts were eliminated at the conclusion of each rotation, leaving only six to battle for the championship in a decisive fourth and final round. Moldauer (Wellington, Colo./5280 Gymnastics) sat third entering the fourth rotation where a 14.150 on parallel bars lifted him into second place. He earned the day’s top marks of 14.450 on floor exercise and added 14.000 on vault and 13.500 on pommel horse.

Moldauer will return to action Sunday, November 27 when he and teammate Addison Fatta take on pairs from eight nations at the Swiss Cup in Zurich. Visit swiss-cup.ch to learn more.
