Employment Opportunity - Partnership Manager

Summary Description
The Partnership Manager will lead partnership activations and work collaboratively across the organization. This position requires solid interpersonal skills, excellent client service, presentation development and project management experience, and strong general business acumen. The position will initially report to the Chief Operating Officer.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Cultivate positive partner relationships
  • Lead day-to-day partner and agency communication and collaboration
  • Assist with the development of integrated activations, initiatives, and campaigns
  • Collaborate on sponsorship activations and campaign content creation (e.g., digital, social, video)
  • Manage sponsor fulfillment of contractual rights and benefits, including trafficking media for broadcasts, print/web ads, logo integration, event signage, event tickets, in venue activation, hospitality, and digital fulfillment
  • Work closely with event team to deliver partner assets including PA reads, videos, signage plan and in-venue activations
  • Create post-event recaps for partners and log event data for historical purposes
  • Guide the RFP process: draft requirements, distribute to target providers, analyze proposals, create summaries for the procurement team, schedule presentations, and drive follow up through contracting
  • Lead the creation of fan fest (FlipZone) at key events
  • Oversee event merchandise product selection and event activation
  • Manage video licensing program
  • Update and maintain Salesforce.com org with prospects, projections, and sales cycle progress
  • Stay informed on brand marketing and sports sponsorship trends
Requirements and Competencies
  • Excellent communication, organization, and presentation skills

  • Ability to pro-actively problem solve and to maintain a positive "can do" attitude under stress
  • Ability to work both as part of a team and independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-starter who will take initiative with new projects
  • Clear understanding of the sales process in the sports marketing industry
  • Competitive spirit and a desire to drive new business opportunities for the organization
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • Minimum three (3) years of experience working with sports properties
  • Sports marketing or partnership activation experience preferred
Other Information
  • Position is based in Indianapolis, Indiana
  • Salary and benefits commensurate with experience
  • Weekend work and some travel will be required
  • Other duties/projects as assigned
