Feeley, Griskenas win Rhythmic National Qualifier

In the senior competition, Feeley posted the highest scores of the competition in hoop (17.750), ball (17.400), and ribbon (16.500). She was fourth best with clubs, scoring 16.050. In the all-around, she posted a 67.700 total. Brigita Budginas of Agoura Hills, Calif./Burlo Gymnastics, was second in the all-around with a 65.450, and Heather Chan of South Pasadena, Calif./Isadora, was third (64.900). Chan also recorded the highest score for clubs at 16.850.
Griskenas earned a 63.050 in the all-around to take the junior title. She had three of the four event leading scores with 15.600, rope; 15.950, ball, and 16.100, clubs. She scored 15.400 in hoop. Nicole Kaloyanov of Woodbridge, Va./Gymnastics World, was second (61.650), followed closely by Ekatherina Kapitonova of Staten Island, N.Y./Isadora, who posted a 61.400. Kaloyanov had the best score in the junior competition for hoop (15.850).
In addition to the top 16 senior all-around finishers, two-time World all-around finalist Jazzy Kerber of Highland Park, Ill./North Shore Rhythmic Gymnastics Center, 2014 Youth Olympic bronze medalist Laura Zeng of Libertyville, Ill./North Shore Rhythmic Gymnastics Center, Serena Lu of Staten Island, N.Y./Isadora, and Aliya Protto of Culver City, Calif./California Rhythms, are also qualified to the USA Gymnastics Championships based on their participation in international assignments earlier this year.
