National
Athlete of the Week
Emily Tobin - Baylor
Baylor's Emily Tobin, a junior top and tumbler from Templeton, Calif., earned NCATA Athlete of the Week honors for the third time this season after Baylor's win over No. 3 Oregon over the weekend. Tobin competed in 12 heats and team event, leading the top-ranked Bears to 11 scores of 9.50 or higher during the meet. Her performance was highlighted by a trio of 9.95 scores in the compulsory pyramid, five-element acro and open pyramid. She also performed well in the tumbling event, scoring a 9.65 in the duo pass and 9.575 in the six-element pass.

Specialist of the Week
Marita Musser - Limestone
Musser, a senior top from Mohnton, Pa., starred as a top in the pyramid event for the Saints. She helped Limestone score a 9.85 in the inversion and open pyramid heats, while also helping her team to a score of 9.60 in the synchronized pyramid. Limestone led by five at halftime following its advantage in the pyramid heat.

Freshman of the Week
Blessyn McMorris - Oregon
McMorris, a freshman base from Lynwood, Ill., competed in six heats and team event for the Ducks over the weekend. Her performance was highlighted by four heats that scored a 9.65 or higher. She helped Oregon to a score of 9.85 in compulsory toss and a 9.80 in the compulsory pyramid.



Mountain East Conference
Athlete of the Week
Tiara Stokes - West Virginia Wesleyan
Stokes, a graduate student from Charleston, W.Va., was named athlete of the week after the Bobcats defeated Glenville State last week 244.715-210.990. Stokes was on the floor for the Bobcats in every event that WVWC scored higher than a nine. In the Compulsory event, Stokes played the role of a base and helped the squad earn 9.5 and 9.2 in the final two heats of the event. Stokes was a member of the 5 Element team that scored a 9.55. In the 6 Element event, Stokes helped the 'Cats earn a score of 9.45. Stokes played a key role as a base in the acro event. In the Pyramid event, Stokes was a tosser and helped the team post scores of 9.45 and 9.3 in the first two heats. Stokes backed the tosses and supported the heat 1 performance for a score of 9.35. In the team event, Stokes was a base, back and tosser. She was a key member of the team that scored an 87.89 in the final event of the meet.



Conference Carolinas
Athlete of the Week
Alyssa Loo - Converse
Alyssa Loo of Converse has been named the Athlete of the Week for Conference Carolinas acrobatics & tumbling for the week ending Feb. 27. Loo has now captured the honor three times in the 2022 season. A senior base from Wesley Chapel, Florida, Loo competed in 11 heats in seventh-ranked Converse's 265.560-252.765 road win at Saint Leo on Friday, Feb. 25. She was the main/mid-base in all of the heats. Loo scored a 9.75 or above in five of the heats she competed in prior to the team event. She helped Converse post a 9.95 in the open pyramid and a 9.9 in the 6 Element Acro. Converse also posted a season-high 9.85 in the 5 Element Acro.
