Gymnast of the Week awards are given by conference offices and the College Gymnastics Association.

NCAA Specialist of the Week
Blake Sun - Stanford
Sun won the parallel bars event title with a national-best 15.700 to lead the top-ranked Cardinal to a first-place finish at the Stanford Open. The Cardinal registered a team score of 410.250 to finish ahead of a Team USA squad made up of fellow Stanford gymnasts (407.800), No. 2 Oklahoma (405.450) and No. 9 California (393.000). Led by Sun's massive score, which topped his previous best of 15.200 from the 2020 Stanford Open, Stanford gymnasts managed to finish atop the standing on each event. After winning the parallel bars title, Sun finished his stellar day on pommel horse in the fifth rotation, registering a season-high 13.850 to take third.

Evgeny Siminiuc - Michigan
  • Earned two event titles in Michigan's conference win over visiting Nebraska on Jan. 29
  • Recorded wins on the parallel bars (14.30) and high bar (14.40, second-highest in the nation this year)
  • Collects his first career Big Ten Gymnast of the Week award
Freshman of the Week
Chris Hiser - Nebraska
  • Registered a career-best 13.45 score on the floor exercise in Nebraska's conference meet at Michigan on Jan. 29
  • Was the only freshman in the Huskers' lineup for the matchup
  • Earns his first Freshman of the Week award

Gymnast of the Week
Isaiah Drake – Navy
The freshman has continued to turn in top-level results for the Mids as he scored 54.6 points over four events in Navy's victory over William & Mary. Drake placed first on the pommel horse and parallel bars with scores of 13.7 and 13.4, respectively. He also ranked second on the vault with a 14.35 and third on the rings with a 13.15 score. Drake's pommel horse routine was 0.6 points better than his nearest opponent.

Specialist of the Week
Kyle Lukaesko – Springfield
Kyle won the horizontal bar with a score of 13.15 to help the Pride to its best team score of the season.

Rookie of the Week
Gabriel Almeida – Army
Gabriel Almeida scored a season and career-high 13.25 on pommel horse this past weekend to capture the event title and help the team to a victory over the Pride. Almeida also made his debut on vault for the Black Knights.

Gymnast of the Week
Khoi Young - Stanford
Stanford freshman Khoi Young (Bowie, MD) won the all-around at the 2022 Stanford Open (Jan. 29) with a score of 83.350 – topping fellow competitors from Team USA, No. 1 Stanford, No. 2 Oklahoma and No. 9 California. The all-around, the first of Young's collegiate career, is the second highest in the nation this year. He also captured the pommel horse crown with a score of 14.950, while placing second on vault (14.750) and high bar (13.500). He added a sixth-place score of 14.400 on parallel bars. This is the first career MPSF award for Young.
