2021 USA Gymnastics Championships

TRAINING & ROTATIONS


ENTRIES
Entry fees are a flat fee of $175.00 per athlete.

Entry Deadline:
  • Deadline is May 24, 2021 on USA Gymnastics and KSIS
  • Late registrations will be accepted through May 27, 2021
  • Entry Fee for Late Registration is $350.00 per athlete
NO CHANGES OR ADDITIONS WILL BE ALLOWED AFTER May 27, 2021.



COVID-19 TESTING REQUIREMENTS
All Credentialed Participants of ALL AGES must follow the testing protocol EVEN IF YOU ARE FULLY VACCINATED.

All COVID tests must be a PCR or Molecular test. Antigen testing is NOT an accepted test. Please verify BEFORE you get tested that they are not giving you an Antigen test.

Elite-level Credentialed Participants (includes those who may have duties with elite AND developmental athletes): All elite-level credentialed Participants will be divided up into Tier 1 or Tier 2 categories. Tier 1 participants are those who may come within 6’ of athletes for greater than 15 minutes in a 24-hour period. All other credentialed Participants are Tier 2. Event staff, Volunteers and all Media will be contacted prior to the event to let you know which Tier you fall into. Please do not email us unless you have not heard by June 20th.

Development-level Credentialed Participants (who have NO duties with elite-level Participants): You are categorized as Tier 2.

Family members who are staying with a Tier 1 or Tier 2 Credentialed Participant at the event: We encourage you to follow the same testing protocol as the credentialed Participant you are staying with. We recommend Lucira tests for all family members of Tier 1 Credentialed Participants to use as your onsite test (this will not be provided by USA Gymnastics). Please help us protect our athletes and shelter in place during the duration of your stay by avoiding eating indoors in restaurants, staying away from crowded places and limiting shopping to necessary trips only.

Tier 1 includes:
  • All Elite-level Athletes
  • All Elite-level Coaches
  • All Elite-level Judges and Auxiliary Judges
  • All Medical
  • All Elite-level Equipment Techs
  • Some Elite-level Event Staff
  • Some Elite-level Volunteers
  • Some Media/Broadcast/Photo (those on the FOP or who will be interviewing athletes in person)
Tier 2 includes:
  • All Development-level ONLY Athletes
  • All Development-level ONLY Coaches (not also coaching an elite-level athlete)
  • All Development-level ONLY Judges (no elite-level judging duties)
  • All other Development-level ONLY Participants (no elite-level duties)
  • All Committee Members
  • All Vendors/Partners
  • Some Event staff
  • Some Volunteers
  • Some Media/Broadcast/Photo
Testing Requirements: Anyone with a positive test within 90 days of the start of the event will not be required to complete any testing if they are no longer contagious. All others should follow the directions below:

Tier 1 will test twice:
  • First Test: Within 6 days of your first day at the venue.
  • Second Test: Onsite prior to your first access to the venue. Testing will be provided for you at the Hyatt Regency St. Louis at the Arch. Results will take 1-2 hours and you cannot pick up your credentials until after you have your test result. Please plan for this and arrive early enough to complete your onsite testing. Any equipment techs or event staff who are part of the set-up crew will have their onsite test the evening of June 20th prior to the arrival of athletes.
Tier 2 will test once:
  • Test within 6 days of your first day at the venue.
Your pre-event test will be uploaded to a web app. Additional information about the web app will be provided to you prior to June 20. Onsite test results (for Tier 1 Credentialed Participants only) will be provided via this same web app. You will not be able to pick up your credentials unless you can show that you have met all the testing requirements for your Tier.

If your first day at the venue is:
  • 6/20, do your pre-event test on or after 6/14
  • 6/21, do your pre-event test on or after 6/15
  • 6/22, do your pre-event test on or after 6/16
  • 6/23, do your pre-event test on or after 6/17
  • 6/24, do your pre-event test on or after 6/18
  • 6/25, do your pre-event test on or after 6/19
  • 6/26, do your pre-event test on or after 6/20
  • 6/27, do your pre-event test on or after 6/21

MANDATORY COACHES’ ORIENTATION MEETING
Coach’s orientation meeting will be held on Sunday, June 20th at 8:00PM via Zoom. Link will be sent via email.

Acro Breakout Coach’s meeting will be held on Sunday, June 20th at 8:30PM via Zoom. Link will be sent via email.



TARRIFF SHEETS
All tariff sheets must be submitted through the “Online Tariff Sheet Manager” (OTSM). As of June 3, please upload tariff sheets in the “Nationals” folder for your club. New tariff sheets are required to be uploaded, even if you have used the same tariff all season within your region. Once your tariff sheets have been reviewed by judges and approved in OTSM they must be uploaded a second time to KSIS by June 17th

Please follow the instructions here for uploading final approved tariff sheets to KSIS.

Coaches:
Submitted tariff sheets must be as accurate as possible. If you have a question about your tariff sheets, please have them reviewed prior to uploading. If there are changes to tariff sheets between the deadlines of June 3 and June 17, please notify the Meet Referee Holly King at usaacrojudge@gmail.com, about the changes.

Deadlines
Tariff Sheet deadline is June 3 for OTSM and June 17 for KSIS.
A $50 late fee penalty is applied per club for tariffs submitted after the deadline. Tariff sheets submitted after June 18 will receive a loss of difficulty.

Tariff Sheet Review This year, the judges will evaluate the tariff sheets before arrival to the competition and complete review before the deadline of tariff sheets to the KSIS system. Please note, this is only for tariff sheets that are submitted on time.

Judges will be available to review their findings with coaches on Monday June 21, 5:00p.m.-5:30p.m. (room location TBD). Any necessary revisions must be submitted by 8:00 a.m. on June 22. Coaches are asked to bring their own computer and USB drive so they can make revisions and save them on a USB drive to use for printing. Minor changes can be made using the minor change form per the Code of Points.



MUSIC POLICY
Each club must submit all athlete competition music for the USA Gymnastics Championships through OTSM and KSIS for all levels. Music is to be submitted on, or before, June 17, 2021.

For elite athletes 12-18, 13-19 and Seniors music must be uploaded to OTSM by June 17th.

Each routine must be:
  • Separate file in MP3 format
  • The file name must be the pair/group's ID number and the first letter of the routine without spaces or other characters
    • Level 10 WG #165 balance routine would be "165B"
  • These files will be used for all training and competitive routines occurring on the competition floor
  • The music files should be uploaded to KSIS for levels 7-10. For 12-18, 13-19 and Seniors your music should be uploaded to OTSM in the "Nationals" folder for your club (same file as tariff sheets)
Notes:
  • All clubs must bring backup music on a USB flash drive containing all music for your club.
  • Should be labeled by each pair/group's ID number and routine (i.e., Level 10 WG #165 Balance).
  • Please bring a second copy of music on a phone or tablet to be used on the training floor.
If there is a change to a pair/groups’ music, coaches must bring separate USB flash drive marked with the pair/groups’ name, club, level, and routine to Registration.



COACHES & OFFICIALS
Coaches, judges and officials who are professional members will be issued credentials. No pending Professional or Junior Pro memberships will be allowed. Coaches must register online for the 2021 USA Gymnastics Championships. No coach changes may be made after the registration deadline. No hospitality will be provided for coaches.

COACH ATTIRE
All coaches must wear club or athletic apparel with athletic shoes to be on the competition floor. No national team apparel that bears the USA flag or a national team logo may not be worn at any time during training, warm-up or competition at the USA Gymnastics Championships. This includes warm-ups, t-shirts, competitive apparel, backpacks, duffle bags, etc. National team attire may not be worn even if the logo or flag has been covered. Unless otherwise requested by Shelby Salmon, the program director, please leave all national team apparel/accessories at home.

The following dress code must be followed during all training, warm-up and competition sessions. Violators will be asked to leave the event floor or training/warm-up area.
  • Warm-up pants, long pants or capri length pants only. No shorts are allowed.
  • Team polo shirt or team t-shirt. Warm-up jackets are optional.
  • Gym/athletic shoes are required. No flip-flops.
  • No denim allowed.
  • No caps or hats allowed.


ATHLETE ATTIRE

  • During training, girls may wear long-sleeve or sleeveless leotards, and boys may wear shorts and t-shirts.
  • Girls may wear black bike shorts or leggings with only GK Elite logos during training or warm-up sessions; otherwise, they must be plain.
  • Girls should not have any exposed undergarments or straps. Black or color-coordinated to leo t-back sports bra is acceptable.
Athletes named to the national team for the first time will receive a temporary national team warm-up to wear for photographs after the awards ceremony. National team members will receive their national team warm-ups once they receive an international assignment.



AWARDS
Development Level Competition
Awards will be given out for first to sixth place.

Age Group 11-16 Competition
Awards will be given out for first to sixth place.

Elite Level Competition
Awards will be given out for first to third place.

Awards are given for all-around only for Development level and 11-16. Separate awards for balance and dynamic will be given out to only Elite levels. The master schedule will have the location of the Development awards ceremonies. Awards ceremonies for athletes competing in the arena will take place on the arena floor. Athletes should wear their competitive leotards for all award ceremonies.

Awards for each session will be given immediately following the session. Elite awards will be presented after finals. If the session is running early, awards will be given early. Athletes receiving awards should report to the staging area immediately following the session.

The athlete/athletes of the year and elite coach of the year will be awarded at a place and time yet to be determined. This information will be included in the master schedule that you receive upon arrival. If additional awards are given, these will also be listed in the competition packet.

SIZING
Development Athletes
Sizing information will be taken from Regional Competitions. If a pair/group wishes to be re-sized prior to competition (i.e., pair/group may no longer receive a deduction), they must present during scheduled time..

Elite Athletes
All Elite Athletes will present for sizing.

NATIONAL TEAM SELECTION AND ANNOUCEMENTS
The 2021 USA Gymnastics Championships will serve as the selection for the Senior National Team and Junior (12-18 and 13-19) National Teams. Pan American Championships information on assignments will be communicated along with the selection procedures. To be considered for a National Team, each athlete must submit a signed selection procedures by Thursday, June 17, sent to ssalmon@usagym.org.

NATIONAL TEAM MEETING
The 2021-2022 National Team meeting will be held via Zoom after World Age Group and World Championships conclude. Date and time TBD. Please note, that once scheduled, attendance at the National Team Meeting will required for all 2021-2022 Junior and Senior National Team members and coaches.
